PM Modi meets IBM CEO Arvind Krishna
Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Google CEO Sundar Pichai last week to pursue the Digital India mission. Today, PM Modi has met IBM CEO, Arvind Krishna. PM Modi said that this is a good time to invest in India. The country is welcoming and supporting investment in the tech industry. He said that while the world is witnessing a slowdown, FDI in India is increasing.
Investment in technology in India was discussed in the meeting between Narendra Modi and IBM CEO Arvind Krishna. Last week, Sundar Pichai signed a $ 10 billion (around Rs 75,000 crore) investment in India. Investment in large tech companies in India will boost the Digital India Mission and India’s Digital Economy.
IBM has over 1Lacs employing over 1 lakh employees. The meeting was concluded through video conferencing, PM Modi said that work from a home culture has been largely adopted these days due to the coronavirus epidemic. The government is constantly working to create the infrastructure, connectivity, and regulatory environment for this so that this technological shift can be easily adopted.
